About Professional Advice & Counseling, LLCSusan A Marino (counselorsam) is the founder of Proadvice & Co.  She writes uses her counseling experience to write Wellness Newsletters and provide Life Transitions Coaching.   This website reflects her early education and career in the fine arts.  As a professional counselor she has honed skills in integrating Solution Focused Brief Consultations with Creative Expression and Problem Solving. 

 

Counselorsam's home and office is in Missouri.  She has traveled extensively out of the country with her family as a child where museums were the “picture show” and she had to entertain herself.  She is a well-seasoned traveler who has spent time on the USA coasts and in the southwest, as an adult.  She is comfortable with multi-cultural perspectives and works well with a wide range of people.  Her consultation approaches include processing life stories and lessons, creating scripts for positive change, and/or reinforcing the good feelings that come from success.  Couselorsam invites you, your organization, or community to network with Proadvice & Co in supporting Mental Wellness and Stress Prevention. 

"Resume": Counselorsam has worked with a wide variety of clients in multiple settings, including an adolescent psychiatric hospital, community agency, and private practice.   (Nationally Certified Counselor #54617.  Licensed Professional Counselor, MO #2002011284.)  The scope of her career and experience is over 20 years.  Her writing and creative work has been published on the Internet, in newspapers and magazines.  She received a Master of Psychology in Counseling from Adams State Teachers College, in Alamosa, CO.  She completed Guidance Program Management, at Southwest Missouri State University. She completed Multicultural Counseling, at Highlands University, in Las Vegas, NM.  She earned hours toward a Master of Arts, through Stephens College European Work Study Program.  She completed a Bachelor of Fine Arts, with minors in Illustration and History, from Stephens College, in Columbia, MO.
